Masterclass: Navigating Stress & Sustainable OT Practice in a Changing World
Description
For OTs holding a lot right now- This is not just another conversation about burnout.
This is a practical and experiential masterclass- we will help you release stress, reconnect with yourself, and build practical sustainable regulation routines for everyday life and practice.
Navigating Stress & Sustainable OT Practice in a Changing World
A free live masterclass with Sarita Sloane
Many Occupational Therapists are currently holding significant levels of stress, uncertainty, change and emotional load — both personally and professionally. We are supporting clients and families who are also navigating overwhelm, nervous system strain, grief, instability and rapid change.
So how do we continue to care for others without losing ourselves in the process?
This practical and experiential masterclass offers a supportive space to pause, reconnect and explore what sustainable, embodied OT practice can look and feel like in real life.
This is not a session focused only on the problems. While we will acknowledge and normalise the realities many OTs are facing right now, the heart of this class is about practical tools, nervous system support, and creating new possibilities for sustainable practice and wellbeing.
In this session you will:
Learn and experience evidence-informed somatic and embodied mind-body tools for stress regulation
Explore breathwork, yoga-based practices and somatic mindfulness techniques to help soothe and reset the nervous system
Release built-up tension commonly held in areas associated with stress and threat responses in the body
Learn simple, accessible practices you can use personally and integrate into OT work within scope
Reconnect with grounding, pleasure, play, joy and a sense of positive direction and possibility
Connect with other OTs navigating similar challenges in a supportive space
There will also be time for Q&A and discussion about the Embodied OT Program, mentorship and supervision opportunities.
