The Women for Election online Masterclass Series is a highly practical non-partisan program that provides women with knowledge on key topics relating to how to campaign at all levels of government. These events provide a detailed look from industry or topic experts to assist you in building your confidence and understanding.
This session will run for 90 minutes from 6:30pm AEDT. You will need: a computer, access to reliable wifi, a headset and a ‘get elected’ attitude.

Meet our speakers:
Chris Wallace
Dr Chris Wallace BEc (Syd) MBA (AGSM) BA PhD (ANU) is Professor, 50/50 By 2030 Foundation, Faculty of Business, Government and Law, where she is concerned with structural solutions for gender equity in public sector leadership roles and political representation. Wallace works in modern and contemporary political, international and global history with special reference to leadership, transnational lives, and transformational change and the information strategies underlying it. Her next book, Political Lives: Australian prime ministers and their biographers (University of NSW Press) will be published in October 2022. She is the author of several others including a close analysis of the Australian Labor Party's 2019 federal election loss and How To Win An Election (2020).
Darrin Barnett
Darrin Barnett is the Former Press Secretary to Julia Gillard and a veteran of the Canberra Press Gallery. He has worked on several key Labor election campaigns at state and federal level and in recent times assisted Independent candidates in achieving significant victories in Wentworth and Warringah.
He is a long-term lobbyist focusing with extensive contacts across politics and media and has broad experience as a media spokesperson and commentator across television, radio, print and online.
