Hosted by: Museum of Sticks & Stones and STUFFit Student Film Festival

Workshop Overview: Join us for an engaging and interactive 90-minute workshop designed exclusively for the students of Stuffit. Led by the Museum of Sticks & Stones, this workshop will explore essential skills for navigating conflict, particularly in storytelling, listening actively, and crafting compelling stories about humanity.

    Dates: 7th and 14th August

    Times: 10:30am to 12:00pm

    Cost: $10 for both sessions

    Key Concepts:

    1. Good Conflict: Learn how to navigate conflict constructively, preserving your sense of self and identity while understanding and respecting differing perspectives.
    2. Active Listening: Develop the ability to listen actively, not just listening to respond, but to truly understand and engage with others’ viewpoints.
    3. Storytelling Skills: Acquire basic storytelling skills that focus on the human experience, enabling you to create narratives that resonate with audiences on a deeper level.

    Skills You’ll Learn:

    • Techniques for effective conflict resolution.
    • Strategies for maintaining personal integrity while appreciating diverse perspectives.
    • Methods for enhancing active listening.
    • Fundamentals of crafting stories that highlight human experiences and emotions.

Participants will have the opportunity to put these skills into practice the following week as we guide them through interviews with the public.
