Hosted by WHISE as part of the Mastering Menopause program, this free online event brings together broadcaster Myf Warhurst and leading psychiatrist Professor Jayashri Kulkarni to explore the emotional, physical, and social impact of perimenopause and menopause.

Meet our speakers

Myf Warhurst

Myf Warhurst is an Australian broadcaster, TV presenter, journalist and writer. Best known for her role on ABC TV’s Spicks and Specks, Myf has also spent seven years as Australia’s beloved Eurovision Song Contest commentator. She co-hosts the weekly arts and culture podcast Bang On, and is the voice of Aunt Trixie in the much-loved children’s series Bluey. With her signature warmth and wit, Myf brings a refreshing and relatable lens to conversations about life, ageing and everything in between.

Professor Jayashri Kulkarni AM

Professor Jayashri Kulkarni AM is a leading Australian psychiatrist and internationally recognised expert in women’s mental health. She is the Director of HER Centre Australia and MAPrc, and Head of Psychiatry at Monash University's School of Translational Medicine. With over four decades of experience, Prof Kulkarni's world-first research into reproductive hormones and mental illness has transformed treatment options for women. She founded Australia’s first women’s mental health hospital and was awarded an AM in 2019 for her service to medicine. In 2024, she received two of the most prestigious awards from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists for her contribution to psychiatry and research.
