Mastering ND Filters
Event description
What the heck is an “ND” - why do I need it and what is it for?
If you haven’t had these questions answered for you, this workshop is for you!
In this workshop, we will learn how to make fine art photographs at the iconic Point Judith Lighthouse in Narragansett, RI. We will learn what neutral density filters are, what they do to an exposure and how to determine which filter is best for a given situation and your personal taste. We will explore how changing shutter speeds affects the aesthetics of water in motion and discover your favorite artistic look. As part of the workshop, we will work through a case study on how to create a 10 second exposure and in doing so, understand what a “stop of light” is and how to create one. A Neutral Density Filter Learning Guide is included in the workshop.
