Audit readiness is no longer a once-off activity – it is a continuous practice.

This session provides the clarity, tools, and confidence needed to:

  • navigate the new expectations and

  • strengthen compliance across your service

Registered aged care providers are now required to demonstrate clear, real evidence of how safe, quality care is delivered, governed and sustained.

This session unpacks key changes under the Strengthened Aged Care Regulatory Model and their impacts on:

  • Registration and re-registration

  • Audits and compliance

  • Governance and leadership

  • Everyday service delivery across residential and home care

Participants will gain a practical, in-depth understanding of how the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission now assesses compliance through two core tools:

  • AECT – Audit Evidence Collection Tool

  • CDECT – Care Delivery Evidence Collection Tool

This session will break down:

  • What each tool requires

  • How they are applied during registration and audits

  • How AECT and CDECT work together to assess organisational systems and frontline care delivery

Participants will leave with practical strategies to:

  • Confidently interpret and apply these tools in their own service

  • Strengthen evidence collection processes

  • Align governance with practice

  • Improve overall audit readiness

This session builds capability to demonstrate not only compliance but also consistent, effective, high-quality care outcomes under the strengthened regulatory framework.

By the end of this session, you will:

  • Understand what the AECT and CDECT really mean for your service

  • Know what evidence is expected and how it is assessed

  • Learn practical strategies to collect, organise, and present evidence

  • See what continuous audit readiness looks like in practice

  • Build confidence in demonstrating safe, quality care under the new expectations
