Master the science and art of affidavits and witness statements in this workshop designed to equip law students studying law with court ready practical skills. 

In this one hour online workshop, you learn about preparing concise and persuasive affidavits and witness statements for litigation. Additionally you will practice interviewing a client and have a clear road map for deciphering client instructions.

You will learn the fundamentals of: 

  • Taking a witness statement/affidavit
  • Substance of an affidavit
  • Basic evidentiary issues
  • Form and presentation
  • Drafting skills

Unlike law school, we learn by doing! From the get go, you'll be taken through practical examples based off real world issues solicitors and legal clerks face. You'll walk away with a drafted affidavit and have an opportunity to submit it for additional comments and improvements.

Ken Wu, Criminal Law & General Practice Solicitor | Non-Profit Facilitator and Trainer

Ken Wu is a criminal defence lawyer and general practice solicitor with a passion for advocacy. He was the winner of the Margaret Cunneen SC Witness Examination Competition and 2018 Corrs Chambers Westgarth Open Witness Examination Competition. 

Ken is also a Training Facilitator at B Inspiring, a movement designed to inspire young people to make a positive impact in their lives and communities. He has extensive experience in mentoring youth in leadership skills and non-profit organisations in leadership skills.
