Create Your Own Wooden Whetū
Join us for our Power Tools 101 workshop and craft a beautiful wooden star from upcycled timber.
You’ll learn how to safely use power tools like drills and sanders as you build and decorate your own whetū, perfect as a gift or a striking piece for your home.
Enjoy hands-on making, creative expression, and sustainable design all in one session!
What You’ll Learn:
Use of tools: drills, sanders, and hand tools in detail.
How to design, assemble, and create a wooden masterpiece.
Sustainable crafting using wood off-cuts, giving materials a second life and keeping them out of landfills.
This workshop is all about fun, sustainability, and skill-building in a supportive and engaging environment.
Important Details:
What to Bring: Snacks, lunch, and a drink bottle.
What to Wear: Old clothing that can get paint on it and closed-toe shoes.
Please Note: For health and safety reasons, children are not permitted to attend with parents.
