Description

Next up, Ben Mendelsohn and Jeremy Sims are two deadshit gronks in western Sydney who try to sort their issues out by robbing a bank. It doesn't go to plan.

David Caesar's 1996 feature debut is criminally overlooked, equal parts funny, shocking, and somehow quite moving. Settle in--Benny Mends absolutely cooks here.

Sunday Matinee is a monthly film club at the Butter Factory Theatre in Wodonga, running in partnership with HotHouse Theatre.

We believe too much watching happens alone, on the couch, half-distracted. We're here to fix that — with curated films, good company, and (very optional) yarn after the credits roll.

On the last Sunday arvo of every month, we screen a film worth seeing on the big screen. Every screening includes $1 tickets, because your bank account shouldn't decide whether you can access culture and connection.

Season One, This Country, celebrates Australian cinema:

🎬 Muriel's Wedding — April 26

🎬 Mad Max — May 31

🎬 Wake in Fright — June 28.

See ya in the theatre.
