Matthew Tankard's "A Stranger Waving" EP Launch
Event description
Join Matthew Tankard in the basement of the Grace Darling Hotel to celebrate the launch of his debut EP, A Stranger Waving.
A solo performance of Electronic Chamber Pop ballads, with support from local acts Lunar Lagoon, Hercules and the Bricks (solo set), and Casey Jones.
Matthew Tankard's debut EP, A Stranger Waving is a blend of electronic chamber pop, featuring textural, swirling arrangements and ultra-emotive melodies. This experimental recording artist from Naarm brings together influences from Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, Alex G, and Animal Collective. A Stranger Waving is a collection of home-recorded ballads that are born from an obsession on life's coulda-shoulda beens, last minute changes of mind, and maladaptive daydreaming.
