Mattress Muster - October 2026

The City of Greater Bendigo’s next Mattress Muster event will be held on Saturday October 17, 2026.

Residents will have the opportunity to drop off one mattress to be recycled for free at the City of Greater Bendigo’s Depot in Golden Square, entry via Thistle Street.

Bookings are essential and can be made from Monday October 5 to Friday October 16, unless fully booked prior.

Places are only open to Greater Bendigo residents and are limited to one per household. This event is likely to sell out so book early and be prepared to queue while mattresses are unloaded on the day.

Please note that mattress recycling is available year-round at City Recycling Centres for around $40 per mattress.

Waitlist

• If the event is fully booked, please join our waitlist. If a ticket becomes available, it will be offered to the next person on the list.

• Please note that waitlist offers are valid for 30 minutes only. After this time, the ticket will be released to the next person in line. This timeframe is set by our ticketing system and cannot be changed.

Eligibility

• Strict limits of 1 booking per household apply. Multiple or duplicate bookings will be cancelled and reallocated. If you have more than one mattress, please visit one of our Recycling Centres to take any additional mattresses. Charges apply.

• Only City of Greater Bendigo residents are eligible for this event. You will be required to provide your address during the registration process.

• Demand for this event is very high, so we want to make sure as many residents as possible have the chance to attend. To keep things fair, households are not able to attend two events in a row.
