RULES & GUIDELINES:
Rules MUST be followed otherwise you will be unable to weigh your animals.
All categories:
Entries close Midnight, Wednesday 17th September
Competition begins 12.00am Friday 19th September
Weigh in 1pm-3pm Sunday 21st September at Mid Western Rugby & Squash Club. Must be in line by 3pm to be eligible
If weights are equal, first animal weighed will win
Ticket holders must be present to claim prizes
Only 2 animals per category may be entered per ticket
All animals must be caught during the competition hours, photographic evidence may be requested. It is up to the ticket holder to be able to prove capture times
Animals must be wild, not trapped (possums can be), not frozen & not heavily mutilated
The organiser and Mid Western Rugby & Squash Club accept no liability for any damage or loss of property or injury to any person
Bar will be open during weigh-in period and prize giving. No BYO on premise and alcohol must stay within the premises
Judge’s decision is final - If you get a good or suspect looking animal, it would pay to bring photographic evidence of when and where it was captured.
Boars:
Boars only - No Barrows or Sows
30kg minimum weight
To be presented for weighing with all offal removed, bum holes & pizzles out, testicles in
Best Jaw to be scored via Douglas Score method. Tusks must be undrawn and not be broken.
Goats:
To be presented for weighing with all offal removed
Possums & Turkeys:
To be presented green (guts in)
Not to be poisoned
Traps can be used for possums
Fish:
Snapper minimum length 35cm
Kingfish minimum length 75cm
To be caught on rod & reel or spear only
