Ready to make the most of your farm’s stock and domestic water resources? Delve into farm water planning.

Whether you're fine-tuning your current system or starting from scratch, join us in Coreen and take control of your water management by developing your own farm water plan.

✔️ Be supported to work out your stock and domestic water storage and requirements to get a clear picture of your farm water capacity and usage

✔️ Learn about enhancing farm dams and the importance of farm water for biodiversity, the environment and livestock

✔️ Inform future decision making by developing options and actions for your farm water management

Guest expert:

This workshop will be delivered by water expert, Peter Smith from Sapphire Irrigation Consulting, with support from Murray Local Land Services and Corowa District Landcare. 

Take-home resource

This workshop is free of charge and guides you to develop your farm water plan for stock and domestic water. The plan is a personal, take-home resource for you and will not be shared with any other parties. 

Workshop Outline

This workshop will cover:

  • An introduction to farm water management planning
  • Reflecting on your past water management strategies and experiences weathering the dry
  • Enhancing farm dams and the importance of farm water for biodiversity and livestock
  • Determining your stock and domestic farm water needs, estimating your water storage capacity, and how long your water will last
  • Options and actions for future planning and having water where you need it, when you need it
