May Community Cooking Workshop: Learn to Make Zongzi (粽子)

Join us this May for a hands-on community cooking workshop to explore the traditional art of making zongzi, the delicious sticky rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves, often enjoyed during the Dragon Boat Festival. This family-friendly event welcomes participants of all ages and cooking skill levels.

Led by experienced home cooks, the workshop will guide you through each step of the process—from preparing the glutinous rice and savory or sweet fillings, to folding and wrapping the bamboo leaves. You’ll learn about the cultural significance of zongzi, share stories, and enjoy tasting your handmade creations with fellow participants.
