On Country at Murdudjurl Community, Kakadu National Park

You are invited to gather on Murumburr country at Murdudjurl Community, for the 2021 Mayali Mulil Festival this 24 to 26 September!

Located in Kakadu National Park, Mayali Mulil is a gathering of people, country, culture and enterprise with an aim of achieving sustainable balance between two worlds.

A three-hour drive from Darwin, the Aboriginal-run festival is open to people of all ages. For the first time it will be held at Murdudjurl Community, allowing access to existing infrastructure and facilities with full vehicle access via a graded road, just off the Kakadu Highway.

WHAT’S HAPPENING…
Sunset concerts series feat. Black Rock Band | Dr Shellie Morris | Binninj Band | Manwurrk Fire Band | Arafura Swamp Band Ramingining | Djakapurra Munyarryun | Traditional Dancers

AND plenty of family and community activities including Guided Bush Walks and Talks, Fishing, Children’s Song Writing Workshop with award-winning singer/songwriter Dr Shellie Morris, Forum Learn Traditional Dancing, Kids Zone and Healing Workshop.

PLUS take part in a cultural workshop. Choose between Pandanus Weaving | Bark Painting | Didj Making | Clapstick Making | Spear | Borndok Spear Thrower | Plucka Goose.

Enjoy a Bush Tucker Experience and campsite with shower and toilet facilities. There’s also lots of room for a Caravan and Tent City.

FIRST TIME there will be a Forum discussing important issues and connecting bush mob to Government agencies and stakeholders. Through this, mob can find out about access and opportunities and get a better understanding of funding bodies, how they work and how to apply.

Information will be sent to all ticket holders via email on how to get here, what to bring and what to expect over the 2 and half days.

**All tickets include a Workshop, register on arrival and all facilities, activities, bush tucker experience, camping and concerts.
**All tickets have a COVID-safe levy included. This will go directly to the increased costs of cleaning, sanitiser, campsite management and security for us to meet our COVID-safe plan.
