Mayoral Heritage Morning Tea 2025

This year’s Mayoral Heritage Morning Tea is shaping up to be a whimsical delight, with activities that celebrate community, creativity, and the joy of aging boldly. Here’s what’s planned for the “Alice’s Mad Hatter Tea Party” theme:

🎭 Costume Parade & Prizes
Guests are encouraged to dress in their most fantastical tea party attire—think Mad Hatters, Queens of Hearts, or curious Alices. Prizes will be awarded for the most creative and spirited outfits.

🎶 Live Entertainment
Expect toe-tapping performances from local musicians and entertainers including MANSONG and Harry Simpson and the comical delights of bush poet Mick Martin, bringing a festive, nostalgic vibe to the morning.

🍰 Heritage Morning Tea Spread
A delicious array of sweet and savoury treats, freshly prepared by Marvellous Maryborough High Hospitality Students, will be served, with nods to traditional Queensland flavours and a few whimsical surprises. This delicious spread will savour tradition and be served by the Mayor himself and his team of Councillors.

🧠 Trivia & Games
Interactive games and Alice-themed trivia will spark laughter and friendly competition among guests.

👑 Mayoral Welcome & Community Acknowledgments
The Mayor will offer a warm welcome and recognize outstanding contributions from seniors and community leaders.
