TOM (Taste of Malaysia) 2025 is more than just a food event—it's a celebration of unity, culture, and the rich flavors of Malaysia. Held in conjunction with Malaysia's Independence Day, "Merdeka Day" on August 31, this gathering brings together communities from all walks of life to honor our nation's independence through the universal joy of food.

In a country as richly diverse as Malaysia, our cuisine tells the story of who we are—layered, colorful, and beautifully blended. From the fiery depth of sambal to the comforting aroma of coconut rice, every dish holds a memory, a tradition, and a reason to gather.

The Malaysian Club of Chicago (MCC) invites you to explore this delicious heritage in the most authentic way possible: by sharing a meal. Whether you grew up with the sizzling sound of satay grilling or are discovering these flavors for the first time, you’ll find something to savor and celebrate.

We’re proud to showcase a dynamic mix of local vendors and passionate home chefs, each offering dishes that represent Malaysia’s multicultural (Malay, Chinese, Indian, Nyonya) soul.

All food is served on a first-come, first-served basis.
Each food or drink item can be redeemed using pre-purchased food tickets. Here’s a preview of what to expect and how many tickets each item may require:

To enjoy the delicious variety at TOM 2025, attendees must purchase food tickets in advance:

💰 Ticket Pricing

• Early Bird (until July 31, 2025):
  $20 for 1 set of 10 tickets

• Regular (August 1 till August 24, 2025):
  $25 for 1 set of 10 tickets

📝 There is no limit to how many sets you can purchase!
📋 Attendees must provide names and number of guests for headcount and waiver purposes.

🚫 Important Notes

• No cash accepted (per park regulations)

• No walk-ins allowed

• All payments must be made via the Humanitix platform

🧺 What to Bring

Feel free to bring your lawn chairs, picnic mats, hats, sunscreen, and anything else to make your day comfortable and enjoyable!

*All sales are final. Tickets are not refundable but transferable.
