A little bit about our panellists;

Dr Joe Kosterich M.B.B.S (WA) 1985 Doctor, speaker, author, media presenter and health industry consultant, Dr Joe Kosterich wants you to be healthy and get the most out of life.

Joe has written for numerous medical and mainstream publications and is a regular on radio and television. He is often called to give opinions in medico legal cases, is clinical editor of Medical Forum Magazine, adjunct professor (teaching) at UWA and former lecturer at Curtin Medical School. Medical Advisor to Medicinal Cannabis company Little Green Pharma and Vice President of Arthritis and Osteoporosis WA, Joe has self-published two books: Dr Joe’s DIY Health and 60 Minutes To Better Health and maintains a website and blog with health information and commentary. Previously he held senior positions in the Australian Medical Association and sat on numerous industry and government boards. He has extensive corporate experience in the setting up and management of medical centres and in helping businesses maintain a healthy workforce.

Through all this he continues to see patients as a GP each week.

Prof Ian Brighthope Graduated in Agricultural Science in 1965 and then in 1974 graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. Following his medical training, he travelled widely throughout Europe, North America and Asia searching for solutions to the problems created by the significant gaps he recognised in the medical training of doctors.    

The Brighthope Clinics and Biocentres were developed in the 1970’s and specialised in Nutritional Medicine, Environmental Medicine and Herbal Medicine. As chairman of the Australian College of Herbal Medicine, he developed an early interest in cannabis and other illicit herbs. As founding president of Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM) for over 26 years, Professor Brighthope pioneered the first post-graduate medical course in nutrition in Australia. He is now the official ambassador of ACNEM. 

Professor Brighthope has acted as an advocate of doctors practicing Complementary Medicine for over 35 years.  He has had training and extensive experience in Crisis Management, Risk Management and Public/Government Relations.

In 2001 to 2003 he was President of the Complementary Healthcare Council of Australia, the peak industry body for Complementary Medicines. Professor Brighthope is now the official ambassador to the peak body Complementary Medicines Australia (CMA) He appears regularly in China delivering lectures on best health principles in medical practice and keynote addresses to health authorities. He is currently investigating the production, development and research into medicinal cannabis in China and elsewhere.

In 2016, Professor Brighthope was given the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Indian Nutritional Medicine Association (INMA).

In 2017, he was awarded an Honorary Fellowship in nutritional and environmental medicine of the Indian Nutritional Medicine Association (FINEM) and delivered a keynote address to the Indian Nutritional Medicine Association on the role of intravenous vitamin C, probiotics and medicinal cannabis to the Indian Nutritional Medicine association.  

Professor Brighthope’s lifelong ambition is to help change the way medicine and healthcare is practiced for the benefit of the public and to see nutrition, nutritional and environmental medicine and herbal medicine become the building blocks and keystones to world health and peace. 

Robyn Chuter is a university-qualified and highly experienced health practitioner, with a Bachelor of Health Science (and the Dean's Medal for Outstanding Academic Achievement) from the University of New England, a Bachelor of Health Science (Honours) with First Class Honours from Edith Cowan University, and a Diploma of Naturopathy from the Australasian College of Natural Therapies. Robyn is also an Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine-Certified Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner, and proud to be a Fellow of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine.

In addition, Robyn holds a Graduate Diploma of Counselling from the Australian College of Applied Psychology, and Level 3 EFT Practitioner and Matrix Reimprinting Practitioner accreditations.
