    Event description

Join Lake WānakaTourism, Wastebusters and QLDC for a workshop on how to develop and implement a waste minimisation plan for your business.  This workshop will offer expert guidance within the Wānaka and Queenstown Lakes context and the solutions available to divert waste away from landfill.

With insights from local businesses that have successfully reduced their waste-to-landfill and associated costs and following a hands-on practical workshop, you’ll come away with the knowledge, resources and confidence to develop a waste minimisation plan for your business.

    Event Outline

    • Learn how to get a handle on your waste streams, set priorities and create a step-by-step plan to reduce waste in your business
    • Find out what QLDC’s Waste Management and Minimisation Plan (WMMP) and the Destination Management Plan involve, and how they can help your business.
    • Participate in an interactive session where you will create a business waste minimisation plan. Solidify your understanding of the process with tangible, region-specific actions to real-life business challenges.
