PICKLING WITH CORNERSMITH 

Cook along with Cornersmith owner and pickling queen Alex Elliott-Howery as she takes you step by step through everything you need to know to start pickling at home.  

You will learn everything from how to select the best produce to the importance of the type of vinegar and salt to use. Alex will also cover food safety, sterilization, heat processing, and the equipment needed so you can fill up your pantry for the seasons ahead. Plus, you’ll learn interesting Cornersmith-style flavor combinations and the best ways to add pickles into your everyday cooking. After this course, you’ll be confident and inspired to pickle everything and anything!  

Cornersmith focuses on avoiding food waste, how to make the most out of tired produce, and how to use and value what you already have. This class offers plenty of advice for a sustainable kitchen, deliciously simple recipes, and waste hacks to inspire solutions to the environmental challenges we all face.
