Working on shows but still not sure which knot to tie or what scaff clamp you need? Then this workshop is for you. The session is designed for technicians already working in venues or on productions who specialise in other areas and want to know a bit more about the world of mechs. Topics covered will include tying knots, working with scaff and folding drapes.

A NIDA graduate, Justin Green has over 30 years of experience in the industry, working with companies such as Belvoir Street, the STC, Queensland Ballet, and the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

Justin is currently Technical Production Coordinator for the performing arts programs, and previously taught production at the Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne, where he also worked as a tutor for the Wilin Centre and as an academic researcher for the Research Unit for Indigenous Arts and Culture.

Date: Monday 7 April 2025, 2 - 6pm
Location: Footscray Community Arts, 45 Moreland St Footscray
Requirements: This will be a practical workshop so wear comfortable clothes that you can move well in and sturdy closed toed shoes.
