Media Lab 1x1 Tutoring
Event description
Located in the City Library, the Media Lab is a haven of creative inspiration to customers, artists and residents alike. Music, illustration, photography, animation and film are celebrated on a daily basis. Whether it is through volunteer run tutorial sessions, community driven Residencies or even daily enjoyment of the space, the Media Lab has something to help you realise your creative potential.
During a one-on-one session your friendly Media Lab volunteer will work with you to answer your digital media questions. Common topics covered include: filming, animation, sound, video or photo editing.
You’ll have access, and learn how, to use the latest Macintosh and Microsoft technology, Wacom Cintiq, RODECaster Pro podcast equipment or learn industry standard software such as Final Cut Pro, Avid Pro Tools, Sibelius and more.
Please note that sessions will not be available for registration more than 30 days in advance. Please do not book more than 2 sessions at a time, to allow all customers to have equitable access to the service. Please always notify the library if you are unable to attend a session.
