Medical workforce: Implementing Principles in Practice (PiP) Workshop

The workshop will focus on implementation of the 13 Mental Health and Wellbeing principles in the Victoria's Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022. This specialised workshop aims to provide the Medical Workforce (includes Pscyahitrists, Registrars, Residents, Medical Officers etc.) information on the principles and an opportunity for professional development through reflective discussions and peer learning. The workshop will be co-facilitated by Wanda Bennetts (Senior consumer Consultant at IMHA) and Associate Professor Lee Allen (Deputy Chief Psychiatrist at OCP).

The learning objectives are:

• Analyse current practices in relation to these principles.

• Reflect on ways of working to best apply principles in your local services.

• Produce and elicit evidence of principle consideration, balance and application.

There is a 45 minute pre-requisite eLearn module intended as a refresher on the principles.
