Dear Women,
Welcome to the Medicine Drum & Song Circle.
The Power of Sacred Sound and Rhythm.
Learn the art of singing and chanting intuitively with the powerful medicine of the shamanic medicine drum.
We will learn how to connect into the spirit of your drum, forming a deep connection to her medicine.
The medicine drum is a sacred instrument used by shamans and healers across many cultures, its deep resonance has a profound healing effect on our entire body.
Discover your sound and explore the unique ways of creating resonance and the drums song.
The vibration and frequency of both the voice and the drum resonates and moves through your body, bringing you into a state of true alignment and deep connection to self.
No drumming or singing experience needed.
What will you need:
- A medicine drum ~ handmade or bought, please see below for good brand and place to purchase a drum if you don't have one (I will have one each week to hire, see ticket section to secure that)
- A comfortable yoga mat and pillow
- Water
- Comfortable clothing
- A sacred alter piece ~ can be anything small to add each week to the alter (you will take it home each week, could be a special crystal, stone or flower)
What to expect
Each week we will start with some breath work, and a short meditation or visualising to drop into our bodies.
Connecting to our instrument.
Practice rhythm and where to beat the drum.
Step into your voice and release it through guided movement and sound.
Learn simple techniques on how to drop into your intuitive voice and sound.
Learn chants and songs with the drum
Classes will run for 6 weeks (come to as little or as many classes as you like)
