Event description

You are invited to a day of reconnection, remembrance, and renewal.

Medicine of the Land is an immersive one-day retreat rooted in Earth-based healing, sacred herbalism, and the joyful art of slowing down. Together, we will explore the land as teacher, healer, and guide—through meditative walks, plant stories, ceremony, and meaningful community.

This experience is a co-creation between the Ministry of Neteru and our partner Holos, held on the waterfall-lined grounds of Holos Basecamp in Costa Rica’s Diamante Valley. You’ll be guided by Empress Zella Taj Kan-Aset Xi, Founder and CEO of MoN, herbalist, and ceremonialist, and Dr. Tiara A. Carter (Dr. Tee), co-lead of MoN and an international psychologist specializing in ancestral healing and integrative wellness.

Throughout the day, we’ll explore:

  • Meditative forest walks and connection practices

  • Meeting local plants as allies and teachers

  • Herbal poultice-making with a plants or two you meet on the land

  • Group reflection and psycho-spiritual processing

  • A fire ritual for release, song, and collective integration

  • A nourishing plant-forward lunch and closing dinner

You’ll leave not only with new tools, but with a deeper relationship to the land, a few plants whose names you now know, and the inner stillness that comes from listening.
