Join us for this FREE four week beginner meditation and mindfulness program.

Studies show that practicing mindfulness and meditation can positively impact mental and physical health, whether it’s by reducing stress, improving sleep, or increasing focus. Learn how to calm your mind and clear your thinking with meditation that works for you.

Delivered by accredited practitioner, Annie Knoth, this four week program will allow participants to:

Understand the basics of meditation,
Practice breathing exercises, and
Learn how to calm the mind, and slow down.

Places are limited and bookings are essential.

What are the dates of the program?

30th August, 6th September, 13th September and 20th September 2024.

What age are the Meditation and Mindfulness programs suitable for?

The Meditation and Mindfulness programs are suitable for adults aged 18 years and above.

Can I attend just one session?

No. As these classes build on previous information and content covered in the prior session, we encourage participants to attend as many of the classes as possible. If you are interested in attending a once off meditation class, the City offers Meditation Hours on Monday. Do I need to have prior experience?

No. All classes are beginner friendly.

Do I need to bring anything?

We recommend you wear warm, comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle. If you would like to bring a blanket, bolster or your own yoga mat you are welcome to. Otherwise we have yoga mats available to borrow for the program.

I am unable to lay down on the floor for the meditation. Can I still participate?

Yes. The Meditation and Mindfulness programs are suitable for beginners and if you would prefer to meditate sitting in a chair, that can be arranged on the day.

Do I need to register for each individual Meditation and Mindfulness class?

No. Once you have registered through Humanitix or by calling 9394 5776, you are registered for the entire program (30th August, 6th September, 13th September and 20th September 2024).
