Meet Brandon: Teacher, Mentor, Aspiring Prinicipal and Autistic Self-Advocate
Event description
Greetings Friends,My name is Brandon Adjoumani. I am a self-advocate with autism, and ADHD. But that's not all! I am also a teacher, a mentor, and an aspiring principal. I wasn't diagnosed until I was 18 years old, which made life really challenging for me. Just because I wasn't diagnosed didn't mean the disabilities didn't exist. People would just see the behaviors, as me "being bad" or "lazy" or mean". When I got diagnosed things got so much better in certain aspects of my life. I went from being someone who was on the verge of failing high school, to now someone who's about to finish their first year of their doctorate program. I am currently aiming to get my doctorate in Educational Leadership (Ed.D). I want to help others not go through the same hassles that I went through. I also mentor kids primarily with disabilities, or that just need additional support. I look forward to meeting you all!
