Meet the artist Ben Hedstrom

Join artist Ben Hedstrom in the space of his exhibition Allisions for an informal conversation.

Ben Hedström is a contemporary Australian artist based on the Sunshine Coast. His work explores the materiality of painting through alla prima and impasto oil techniques. Being present in the landscape and studying natural phenomena is a key part of Hedström’s creative process. Hedström’s work has been featured as a finalist in many art prizes, including the Archibald Prize.

Please note artist talk will begin at 10am coinciding with Ben’s workshop. All visitors and non-workshop participants are invited to attend the talk.
