About Michael Dell: Based in Nelson, New Zealand, Michael Dell is a celebrated contemporary artist with a Fine Arts degree from Canterbury University. He has received numerous national awards, including the prestigious Parkin Drawing Prize. Michael's work, which often shifts between abstraction and representation, explores the ordinary in a way that rejects drama and easy narratives. His enigmatic artworks, more like memories than traditional landscapes, are held in various public collections across New Zealand.
