Meet the Author

Elise is known for the acclaimed Kate Green thriller series, which has been optioned for television by Universal Television and Mary J. Blige’s Blue Butterfly. Elise will discuss her book is the third novel in Kipness' thriller series, Close Call. 

Her series has earned worldwide recognition, including Men’s Journal’s Top 10 Books of the Year, a Woman’s Day Must-Read Selection, and a Scripps News Beach Read Pick and has been featured on CBS Mornings+, CBS New York’s Club Calvi, People Magazine, and Newsday.

Like her fearless protagonist, Elise chased marquee athletes at the US Open and stood beneath the blinding lights of Madison Square Garden when she reported for FOX Sports Network. She also covered breaking news for WNBC-TV New York and the Associated Press.

Author Lisa Stasi will interview Elise. Linda Stasi, popular novelist and award-winning former New York Daily News columnist, is the author of The Sixth Station, Book of Judas, and the forthcoming The Descendant (Feb 2026). Her thrillers, praised by Nelson DeMille, Steve Berry, and Sherrilyn Kenyon, have been hailed as page-turners. She has also written five nonfiction books, including Scotto Sunday Suppers, reflecting her deep Italian-American roots. Honored by Italy’s Boys Town as “Woman of the Year,” Stasi serves on the Mother Cabrini Commission, the Columbus Citizens Foundation, and the National Italian American Foundation.
