Event description

Get up close and personal with the Centennial Parklands bees!

Join one of our resident beekeepers from Rooftop Bees and get suited up in this unique behind the scenes experience. You'll get an introduction to bees and the important role they play in the environment and food security.

You'll then get changed into a beekeeping suit and step into the apiary to see inside a real beehive and get to hold frames of bees and honey. You will taste honey directly from the hive as well as a range of honeys from across Sydney. You'll learn about honey production and what to look out for when purchasing honey from the supermarket.

Please wear closed shoes, long pants and avoid wearing strong perfumes or deodorants.

Meeting point: Centennial Homestead, 1 Grand Drive, Centennial Park.
