Event description

Victoria Law Week

Meet the New Magistrate at the Neighbourhood Justice Centre (NJC), Magistrate Noreen Toohey. During the webinar you will hear from Magistrate Toohey who joined the Centre in January 2022 and has extensive experience as a magistrate across Victoria.

Join us as the NJC’s General Manager, Rachel Powning, interviews  Magistrate Toohey about her past, her passions and her interest in working at the Centre. Participants will have the opportunity to submit their own questions.

The NJC was established as a place-based community justice model designed to deliver a local justice response within the local government area of the City of Yarra, in Victoria, Australia. It is Australia’s only community justice centre and world’s first International Mentor Community Court.
