Meet the Northern Beaches’ Little Penguins

They may be small, but Manly’s Little Penguins have a big story to tell.

Join Council for this free online talk with Dr Lisa O’Neill, who has spent more than 20 years monitoring the Manly Little Penguin colony. Discover what we’ve learnt about these much-loved local residents and explore the lives of these charismatic seabirds, the challenges they face, and how locals can help protect their habitat. Lisa will also share findings from the Great Big Little Penguin Count, taking us beyond the Northern Beaches to explore the bigger picture for Little Penguins across NSW.

From life in a busy urban environment to the importance of long-term monitoring and conservation, this is a fascinating opportunity to learn more about our smallest penguin species and how we can help protect them.
