Meet the Researchers - UOW Online Talk - Breast Cancer Awareness

This Meet the Researchers will be a part of an afternoon tea in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month in conjunction with UOW Eurobodalla and Bateman's Bay Library. The afternoon tea includes industry expert speakers, Richelle Matheson (Clinical Nurse Consultant and local McGrath Breast Care Nurse) and Leisa Tague (Rubenesque Lingerie Batemans Bay), following by an online presentation by Meet the Researchers Associate Professor Deirdre McGhee from the School of Medical, Indigenous and Health Sciences at the University of Wollongong. Deirdre will be presenting on: Bra-related issues experienced by women living with breast cancer: The need for breast support education.
The event will take place at Bateman's Bay Library and begins at 1:30pm.Â
Deirdre's presentation has been designed with a diverse public audience in mind, and this event is open to the general public. High school students are welcome and encouraged to attend. Â
The presentation will last 15-20 minutes followed by an interactive Q&A session inviting the audience to engage with our researcher. Â
