Meet the Seaweeds: Guided Seaweed Walk

Learn about the beautiful seaweeds/rimurimu adorning the shores of Wellington!

Join the team from Love Rimurimu to learn how to identify common seaweeds, some of their uses, and what we’re doing to protect and restore them. This is an hour long rocky-shore ramble with passionate seaweed nerds! Bring gumboots and dress for Wellington winter.

Seaweed Series: This is the first event in a series we'll be holding over 2024 to introduce the seaweeds/rimurimu of Wellington. We're huge rimurimu fans here, and we want to tell the world how wonderful seaweed are! No previous knowledge or experience is necessary to take part in these events, just a bit of seaweed curiosity. Keep your eyes on our fb and website for event updates.
