Meet Whale Shark Jack - and his creator

Ever wonder what happens when a book turns into a movie? Come hang out with Kathryn Lefroy, the author and screenwriter behind 'Whale Shark Jack', and find out!

She'll spill the secrets: What's HARD about writing for a book? What's different when you're writing for a movie? What's the weirdest thing that happened on set? There will be laughs, behind-the-scenes stories, and interactive activities. Bring your imagination, your questions, and your creative chaos. No experience needed — just curiosity and a willingness to have fun!

This is a free event but bookings are encouraged.

Things to note:
- Suitable for kids 6+.
- The event will take place in front of the Maritime Museum's new exhibition of Whale Shark Jack.
- A free screening of the feature film will follow Kathryn's presentation.
- Tickets for the screening must be booked separately.
- Parking on Victoria Quay is extremely limited. Please allow extra time and/or consider alternative transport options.
