Description
Meet Your Creeks: Explore & Protect the Cooloola Coast
Dive into the world of local ecology! Residents and visitors are invited to Meet Your Creeks—a free, hands-on community event dedicated to exploring and protecting the vital freshwater systems of the Cooloola Coast.
From testing water quality to hunting for aquatic "water bugs" (macroinvertebrates), this is your chance to step into the shoes of a scientist for a day. Whether you’re a curious local or a family looking for an outdoor adventure, you’ll learn how the health of our upstream creeks directly impacts the prestigious Great Sandy Strait Ramsar Wetland.
