Event description

Many of us live our lives in a state of rush, busy, overwhelm, or even chaos, which can hold us in a near-perpetual state of stress.  In this context, our body’s autonomic nervous system works hard to keep us safe by identifying risk and danger, and shifting us into states like fight, flight, or freeze. This is an amazing safety mechanism for us - our body is often doing exactly what we need to stay safe and well.

However, being able to access a sense of safety, connection, curiosity and spaciousness even amidst all the swirl can make a huge difference to how we show up in the world - with others, and in ourselves.

This workshop offers an opportunity to learn more about your nervous system in an experiential, embodied way. You’ll build an understanding of what the nervous system is and how it works. More importantly, you’ll spend time learning to notice your own state and to reflect on what helps you personally regulate yourself back towards a state of calm.

The skills, tools, and ideas you’ll gather in this workshop are useful for all humans - wherever you are, your nervous system is right there with you. Come learn some of the basics and start to build a relationship with your own nervous system.

Costs - $45. I offer flexible pricing though, so if your budget doesn't support the full cost of the workshop please select the pay what you can option.

Your facilitator - Becky Collett from Rehumanise

I've spent my entire life fascinated by humans and how they human, in and out of work. I believe that so many of the challenges we face today cannot be met without our systems and cultures moving towards a more equitable, collective, relational, and humble way of seeing the world.

I'm committed to exploring how I can support other people to learn and unlearn towards deeper connections, more spaciousness, wild curiosity, and the ability to sit with discomfort.

I have over a decade of experience in people leadership, qualifications in applied psychology, neuroleadership, and a huge amount of curiosity and enthusiasm for better understanding the nervous system.

I can't wait to have this conversation with you.
