Creative Movement Workshop: Meeting Honestly
Description
How often do you find time and space to meet yourself where you are? How can things change if your honest expression is reflected back to you?
Connecting with October's mental health month theme, "A Little Connection Goes a Long Way", this creative movement workshop offers space for honest expression, reflection and shared movement.
Mental wellbeing is a holistic concept and can be tended to through the way we move, talk, think and relate in this world. This is a facilitated space to lean into the wisdom of your body through dance, pause and to allow what is present to surface and be invited into the room.
Let your experience move through you and be seen through the eyes of another. You choose how much you share.
You can expect:
Guided movement to help you land in your body
Freestyle dance
Time for reflection
Sharing movement in pairs or small groups
No choreography and no dance experience needed, just a willingness to move freely to the music.
Good to know
This is a sober space.
Wear comfortable clothes and socks you can move freely in, and bring a water bottle.
Spots are limited to keep the space intimate and due to studio capacity.
The studio is located up a flight of stairs and there is no lift access.
