Learn about the beautiful seaweeds/rimurimu adorning the shores of Wellington!

Join the team from Love Rimurimu to learn how to identify common seaweeds, some of their uses, and what we’re doing to protect and restore them. This is a rocky-shore ramble with passionate seaweed nerds! Bring gumboots or shoes you don't mind getting a bit wet, and dress for Wellington winter.

Seaweed Series: This event is part of a series of events introducing folks to the seaweeds/rimurimu of Wellington. No previous knowledge or experience is necessary to take part in these events, just a bit of seaweed curiosity.

Directly after this event, in the same location, we'll be running a similar session, with a focus of using iNaturalist to identify our native seaweed species. Similar material will be covered in both sessions, so please select the event that interests you most!
