Join us for an engaging educational webinar designed for all nurses who care for melanoma patients. 


Hosted by Melanoma Institute Australia, our new quarterly webinar series will help you access current, evidence-based information that is relevant to your practice.

In our next webinar, 'Diagnosing and managing skin cancer: The nurses' role'', presenters Jodi Ratnik (Melanographer and Research Nurse) and Denise Wilson (CNS) will cover: 

  • The nurses' role in the diagnosis and management of skin cancer and how we facilitate the patients' journey
  • Building confidence in skin checking and appropriate referrals to dermatologists
  • Why we use photography 
    • Who is photography is recommended for? 
    • Lesion selection for photographic monitoring
    • Advancing technology, 3D photography and artificial intelligence.

This webinar is most suited to General Practice nurses, cosmetic nurses and any nurses assessing areas of skin during patient care, though all nurses are most welcome to register.

Cost: Free

CPD: 1 CPD hour. A certificate of attendance will be provided after the webinar on completion of the survey.

About the speakers

Jodi Ratnik is a Registered Nurse with experience in Dermatology Nursing and gained a Melanography essentials certificate from Australian College of Dermatologists. She is currently working at Melanoma Institute Australia on a research study with the Australian Centre of Excellence in Melanoma Imaging and Diagnosis.

Denise Wilson is a Registered Nurse with 6 years clinical surgical nursing experience and has completed post-graduate study in cosmetic dermal science. She is currently working at Melanoma Dermatology as a Dermatology Clinical Nurse Specialist.
