Event description
A 15-minute city is one where residents can access most daily necessities—work, shopping, education, healthcare, and leisure—within a 15-minute walk, bike ride, or public transit trip from home. Currently, Melbourne is rated a 17-minute city, but what would it take to reduce that time? Inspired by Carlos Moreno’s concept, explored in In The 15-Minute City: A Solution for Saving Our Time and Our Planet, this discussion will examine the services, transport, and infrastructure needed to create a more sustainable, accessible, and liveable city. Hosted by Russel Howcroft with speakers to be announced.
