Melbourne launch—Paul Couch, Field Studies
Event description
Join us to celebrate the launch of Paul Couch, Field Studies, the first book ever published on this significant but largely unheralded architect.
Paul Couch has long been an elusive figure in Australian architecture. For over six decades he has busied himself creating substantial works, rarely stopping to document his achievements, or to speak of them in public. As a result, his buildings have gone largely unrecognised. Paul Couch, Field Studies, the first and only book ever published on Couch, seeks to redress this, introducing readers to one of Australia’s most significant and enduring architects.
To celebrate the launch of Paul Couch, Field Studies, join the book’s creators Stuart Geddes, James Mugavin, Michael Roper and Tom Ross for a discussion about Couch’s architecture and the book’s genesis, led by Professor Philip Goad.
Complimentary refreshments will be available.
