Description

Business Women Australia Melbourne, Leaders Lunch Conversation: Beyond Resilience - Building the Ecosystem for Women to Thrive

What needs to exist around women for their capability, ambition and contribution to translate into opportunity, influence and sustainable success?

Women are frequently encouraged to become more confident, speak up, increase their visibility, build networks, find mentors and advocate for themselves. These things can matter, but individual resilience and capability can only take us so far.

Let's talk about the environments in which we work, operate and navigate.

Join Business Women Australia for a facilitated roundtable lunch exploring the relationships, communities, structures and conditions that enable women to thrive, lead and progress.

This leadership conversation builds on our recent exploration of the invisible load carried by women across leadership, professional and entrepreneurial life.

Together, we will explore the opportunities and conditions we all need to thrive, lead and progress. Come to the table and help us unpack what we might build differently.

Our central question will be:

If we could design the ecosystem women need today, rather than simply operate within the one we inherited since the Industrial Revolution, what would we keep, change, connect or create?

A PEER-LED CONVERSATION

This is not a presentation or panel discussion.

Aligned with BWA ‘s Conscious Leadership and the Inner Development Goals of Relating, Collaborating and Acting, this is a facilitated and participatory boardroom-style conversation.

There are no predetermined answers. The value comes from the lived experience, diverse perspectives, and collective wisdom in the room. By sharing what works, challenging assumptions and recognising what is missing, we can impact and build what might be possible.

The conversation will be guided by BWA’s Conscious Communication Principles:

  • Speak from your own experience

  • Listen deeply and with curiosity

  • Create space without fixing or rescuing

  • Respect confidentiality

  • Make room for every voice

  • Meet one another without hierarchy

WHO IS THIS FOR?

This lunch is designed for women who care, women with a voice, who lead or desire to lead. We welcome all women who want genuine and meaningful conversation that can translate into action and change. Our impact can champion change, individually and together. Whether you are a founder, entrepreneur, CEO, senior executive, director, professional, manager, board member, or aspiring leader, we invite you to contribute to a deeper conversation.

Our voices can shape better ways to support women to thrive, lead, and progress. You do not need to be a member or have attended any previous BWA roundtable to participate. Come ready to share your experience, listen with curiosity, and contribute to the wisdom in the room.

Enjoy a working lunch and a roundtable conversation, facilitated by Sonya Georgievski and Kerrie Nobes - Advisory Board members of Business Women Australia.

Numbers are limited to ensure quality connections and the opportunity for every voice at the table to be heard, so don't delay to register your place.
