Event description

Melbourne Playback presents RECHARGE : 16 Days of Activism
Long time partners of Wagga Wagga Womens Health, The Melbourne Playback Theatre Company present RECHARGE—an hour of improvised theatre, where your experiences become the script for the show.
How do we find resilience in the face of challenging work? How do we sustain ourselves to robustly meet the challenges of injustice? How do we take care of ourselves?
RECHARGE is a night of celebration; a chance to reflect on the successes of the work we do, and to connect with one another through shared storytelling and improvised theatre

Never seen a playback performance before? In playback theatre, audience members are invited to share experiences with a facilitator. These experiences are then turned into an improvised theatre offering by an ensemble of actors.
This unique form creates space for people to learn from their own and others' experiences and to feel seen in how they experience the world. By hearing and amplifying each other's experiences, Playback Theatre creates space for empathy, shared understanding, and community building.
