    ABOUT THIS EVENT

    This one's gonna be HUGE as we join Dan on another epic social walk! The George Bass Coastal Walk is a stunning 15km coastal walk that offers stunning views of the rugged coastline, cliffes and pristine white sandy beaches.

    Our Social Walks are a great way to get outside, get your body moving and make some amazing new friends along the way!

    WHAT TO EXPECT

    The George Bass Coastal walk is a must see location for all nature lovers looking to escape the city for the day. On the 15km trail we'll be doing you'll spot a variety of wild birds and being so close to Phillip island it wouldn't be out of the ordinary to see seals and dolphins. This trail is suitable for all levels of fitness.

    Don't miss the opportunity to experience one of the best coastal walks in Victoria. 

    Once the hike is finished we will make our way to San Remo to share a drink and get a pub meal together!

    START TIME AND MEET LOCATION

    Meeting Location: Shelley Beach Carpark. 

    Meeting Time: Arrive 10:00am for a strict 10:30am Departure.

    Parking options: There is plenty of free parking at the meeting location.
    NOTE: Arriving on time is critical to the Walk getting away on time. Participants not checked-in by 9:50am may be left behind.
    CARPOOLING: Need help getting a lift to the hike, feel free to post in the Melbourne Social Walks Facebook Group

    WHAT TO BRING

    - Water (at least 2L)

    - Snack food for the walk if necessary 

    - Money for the lunch afterwards

    WHAT TO WEAR

    - Comfortable sturdy walking shoes

    - Weather suitable clothing (check weather the night before) 

    - Hat or Beanie

    - Optional towel and bathers

    FINISH

    The Hike should take around 6.5 - 7 hours with small breaks in-between to to take in the breath-taking coastal views. 

    We will finish where we started.
