WHAT TO EXPECT

This is a mixture of two easy/moderate walks that is short but also offers some slight challenges along the way.

You can expect the following throughout the day -

Scenic Beauty: The park is surrounded by lush greenery and stunning views of the coast. It’s a great place for nature lovers to immerse themselves in a different environment.
Wildlife Spotting: The area is home to diverse flora and fauna. Birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts will appreciate the chance to spot various species in their natural habitat.
Photography Opportunities: With its picturesque landscapes, the park is a great spot for photography, whether you’re an amateur or a pro.
Peaceful Atmosphere: It’s a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, allowing you to unwind and recharge.

All ages and fitness levels are welcome to this event.

START TIME AND MEET LOCATION

Meeting Location: Deora by the Bay

Meeting Time: Arrive between 10:00-10:15am for a 10:20am SHARP Departure.

PARKING: There is heaps of free parking.

NOTE: Arriving on time is critical to the Walk getting away on time. Participants not check-in by 10:15am may be left behind.

CARPOOLING: Need help finding a ride to the hike, feel free to post in the Melbourne Social Walks Facebook Group.

WHAT TO BRING

- Water (at least 1-2L)

- Snack food for the hike

- Money for pub after (optional)

WHAT TO WEAR

- Comfortable Walking Shoes

- Comfortable Weather Suitable Clothing (check weather the night before).

- Hat / Sunglasses & Sun Protection

FINISH

The Hike should take around 4 - 5.5 hours with small breaks to enjoy some sightseeing so we expect the walk to be finished around 3:30pm but please note that events can run over time.
