Join Dan for another amazing Social Walk as we venture into Mt Alexander for some seriously JAW DROPPING views and one of the best kept secrets of Victoria!

Our Social Walks are a great way to get outside, get your body moving and make some amazing new friends along the way!

WHAT TO EXPECT

  1. Scenic Views: As you make your way up to the top of Mt. Alexander, you’ll be treated to sweeping views of the surrounding Macedon Ranges and beyond.
  2. Flora and Fauna: The park is rich in biodiversity, featuring lush woodlands, stringybark forests, and a variety of birdlife. If you're lucky, you might spot kangaroos, wallabies, and even koalas.
  3. Parker’s Hill Lookout: One of the highlights of the loop, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. It's a perfect spot for a rest and to take in the views.
  4. Historical Significance: The area is culturally significant to the Dja Dja Wurrung people, and you can learn about their history through interpretive signage along the route.

TIPS - 

  • Wear sturdy footwear as parts of the trail can be steep or uneven.
  • Bring plenty of water.
  • Check the weather forecast: The region can experience varying conditions, so it's best to be prepared.

START TIME AND MEET LOCATION

Meeting Location: Leanganook Camping area (outside toilets)

Meeting Time: Arrive 10:30am for a 10:50am Departure.

WHAT TO BRING

- Water (at least 2-3L)

- Snacks and food for the hike

- Money to buy lunch at a pub/cafe after in Gembrook

WHAT TO WEAR

- Comfortable Walking Shoes

- Comfortable Weather Suitable Clothing (check weather the night before). 

- Hat / Sunglasses & Sun Protection

FINISH

The Hike should take around 4.5 - 5 hours with small breaks to enjoy some sightseeing. 

We finish back where we started where we can gather to then head to a local cafe or pub.
