Melbourne Social Walks - Oliver's Hill Lookout + Sand Sculpting Championship - Easy 6.0km

Join us for a super special event as we head for gorgeous walk along Frankston Foreshore to the stunning Oliver's Hill Lookout before descending down to the EPIC Australian Sand Sculpting Championships for their opening day of the event! Joining this Social Walk is FREE however tickets to Sand Sculpting event is not included and must be purchased separately using the link below (Feel free to join us for the Coffee and Walk only if you like too).  

THIS IS A SUPER EASY WALK AND EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

WHAT TO EXPECT

Well start our morning by meeting at the Fabulous One Pear Tree Café for a dine in Coffee and chat with the group. 

After our coffee, we'll depart for our walk along the Kananook Creek, making our way to the Frankston Foreshore Board Walk where we will walk all the way to the Oliver's Hill Look Out. The walk is mostly flat with the Oliver's Hill being a small and steep hill at the at the end.  

Once we have finished at the Look out, we will descend back down to the foreshore as the visit the EPIC Australian Sand Sculpting Championships which are returning to Frankston for the first time in over 10 years! This is a world class event with sand sculptors from all over Australia competing to be named champion of Australia! This years theme is Villain's of Story Time so there are sure to be some epic sculptures!

START TIME AND MEET LOCATION

MEETING LOCATION: One Pair Tree Café - 372 Nepean Hwy, Frankston VIC 3199

MEETING TIME: Arrive at 9:00am for Coffee at a Chat.

NOTE: Arriving on time is critical to the Walk getting away on time. Participants not checked-in by 9:30am may be left behind. 

PARKING: There is free parking around the streets of the meeting location. 

WHAT TO BRING

- Water (at least 1-2L)

- Any Snacks/food for the walk

- Money for a drink afterwards (optional)

WHAT TO WEAR

- Comfortable Walking Shoes

- Comfortable Weather Suitable Clothing (check weather on the day). 

- Hat / Beanie

FINISH

The Walk should take around an 1.5 hours with small breaks to enjoy some sightseeing and to take photos. We'll also spent an hour or 2 at the Sand Sculpting Championships. 

The walk starts and finishes in the same location if you join us for whole event. We should be done by around 12-1pm.
