Join guide Adam as we make our way to the gorgeous Maroondah Dam and Donnellys Weir in the amazing Yarra Ranges National Park.

WHAT TO EXPECT
The Maroondah Dam to Donnellys weir loop is a stunning trail that takes you through some of the lushest rainforest of the Yarra Ranges National Park. From the Maroondah Dam wall you will have panoramic views of the Yarra Ranges and the amazing Maroondah Dam. The walk itself will be around 7km long and includes around 160m of elevation. It is a great moderate hike for beginners and experienced hikers alike.
The Yarra Ranges National Park is also packed full of native Australian wildlife, you see plenty Kangaroos and Wallabies!
All ages and fitness levels are welcome to this event however sections will be moderately challenging.
Once the hike is finished we will head to Healesville for a much needed coffee/drink and some lunch!
START TIME AND MEET LOCATION
Meeting Location: Maroondah Reservoir Park
Meeting Time: Arrive 9:30am for a strict 10:00am Departure.
Parking options: - There is plenty of free parking at the meeting location.
NOTE: Arriving on time is critical to the Walk getting away on time. Participants not checked-in by 9:50am may be left behind.
CARPOOLING: Need help getting a lift to the hike, feel free to post in the Melbourne Social Walks Facebook Group
WHAT TO BRING
- Water (at least 2L)
- Snack food for the walk if necessary
- Money for the café afterwards
WHAT TO WEAR
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Westher suitable clothing (check weather the night before)
- Hat or Beanie
FINISH
The Hike should take around 2.5 hours with small breaks to enjoy some sightseeing and animal spotting.
We will finish where we started where we can all head off to meat again for coffee at a local café in Healesville.
